Does this replace the panel’s microphones?
No. Panelists keep using the venue’s existing microphones. MicMixer gives the audience a way to ask questions through their phones.
How does the room hear the audience?
The invited attendee’s phone sends audio to the Moderator’s browser. The Moderator’s computer connects to the venue’s mixer or sound system, which plays the question into the room.
Can anyone turn on their microphone?
The Moderator must first invite an attendee to speak. The attendee then chooses to go live and grants microphone permission. Only one audience microphone has the floor at a time.
Do attendees need to install an app?
The audience experience is designed to run in a mobile browser. Attendees sign in or create an Audience account after opening a session link or QR code. A network connection and microphone permission are needed to speak.
